 Hydra is a nice small island that only takes about 1 hour to reach from Athens. It is good for spending a relaxing afternoon and enjoying the sunset.

Sounio is about 1.5 hours away from Athens by bus, it is a great place to watch sunset. There is a temple at the top of the mountain and a restaurant nearby. You get beautiful view of the seashore and good scenary during the bus ride.

World HeritageAthens is city full of history. When I first visited Athens in 1994, air pollution problem was very serve. In 2005, the government has done a great job in cleaning up the air!
Acropolis is always under re-construction and it will take many more years to restore its full glory. They are building bigger and better museums to exhibit their treasures and always reserving one section to house treasures stolen by the British, which they hope one day will be returned. The evening view from the top of the mountain is spectacular!

World HeritageThessaloniki is the second largest city of Greece, like Athens it has a lot of historical sites too like Rotonda - the round church. Walking along the shore is leisurable. It's good for spending half a day to one day. We also took the train to Larissa.

The beautiful Greek islands are indeed sunny and there are many white houses just like the ones you see on TV.

World HeritageAthen is a city full of history, the city where Olympic game was originated. The Olympic stadium was made of mables and it was actually quite cool sitting on it despite the temperature and the sun. However, the air quality is very very bad!
